Medical Assistant - Adult Primary Care - New Roads

Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction by interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, and recording information on charts. Draw and collect blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and coordinate patient flow, appointment scheduling, and referrals. Triage phone calls, process non-narcotic prescriptions per provider direction, and communicate with patients and families while assisting with regulatory and compliance needs. Works under close supervision of the physician and clinic manager.
