Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will support clinicians and care management teams in patient assessment, chronic disease management and perform laboratory testing and phlebotomy procedures. This role demands strong medical assisting skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 2 years of experience within a clinic/back office healthcare setting
- Medical Assistant diploma or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or 3 years of MA experience
- Active BLS certification
- Active driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
- Experience with TriMed EMR preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements
- Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices
