Job Summary

Obtain medical history, record vital signs, and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers. Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and conduct first aid or CPR while maintaining infection control protocols. Document services accurately, prepare patients for examinations, and provide patient education regarding medications and diets. Manage appointments, schedule patients, answer phones, and process prior authorizations. Order medical supplies, maintain equipment, and communicate with families regarding healthcare needs. Collaborate with the healthcare team, uphold HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality, and support smooth patient flow and efficient clinical operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic first aid and CPR
  • Awareness of infection control protocols
  • Effective verbal and written communication with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Active listening and empathy when interacting with patients
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) guidelines
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team, both internal and external stakeholders
