Job Summary
Medical Assistant role in Women’s Care clinic supporting OB/GYN and women's health services. Responsible for preparing patients and examination rooms, assisting providers during treatments and procedures, recording medical history and vital signs, performing phlebotomy/injections when applicable, and educating patients per provider directions. Requires accurate documentation in electronic medical records, HIPAA compliance, teamwork, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred MA program completion or Armed Forces Medical Technician background; CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days; prior experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR served in the Armed Forces as a Medical Technician with honorable discharge
- Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of employment via Women’s Care training
