Monitor patient flow, triage, and collect histories while accompanying patients to exam rooms. Schedule tests, obtain results, and communicate findings to physicians and patients. Manage patient charts by scanning forms into the EMR and preparing files before visits. Perform ancillary procedures, maintain exam room sterilization, and counsel patients on treatment. Answer calls, emails, and voicemails promptly; process prescription refills and account requests. Ensure HIPAA compliance and participate in staff meetings. Cross-train for phone triage, scheduling, and pre-certification as directed. Requires current certification, 2-3 years of experience, and gastroenterology knowledge preferred.
