Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations; enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart; assist Physician/Provider by scribing notes in the medical record; assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures; prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-ups; daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms and stocking; maintain laboratory equipment including autoclaving; perform other back-office duties as assigned; requires strong written and verbal communication, compassion for patients, teamwork, organization, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dermatology clinic.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Medical Assistant training is required
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required
- Experience working on electronic medical records
