Job Summary
Medical Assistant position at Platinum Dermatology Partners in Torrance, CA. Responsibilities include escorting patients for examinations, entering complete medical histories and current medications into the chart, assisting physicians by scribing notes, helping with biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures, preparing and collecting path/lab specimens, notifying patients of results, scheduling follow-ups, daily room cleaning and organization, instrument autoclaving, and other back-office duties as assigned. Qualifications emphasize a High School Diploma or GED, 2-3 years of medical-office experience, and strong communication and teamwork; Dermatology/cosmetic experience is preferred and CMA certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required
- Medical Assistant training is required
- Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant
- Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred
