Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed for a dermatology clinics network. Responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, documenting medical histories and current medications, scribing notes for physicians/providers, assisting with biopsies and cosmetic procedures, preparing and collecting path/lab specimens, notifying patients of results, and scheduling follow-ups. Also responsible for daily cleaning/organization of exam rooms, maintaining instruments, and other back-office duties. Requires High School Diploma or GED; Medical Assistant training is required; 2-3 years’ experience in a medical office; dermatology/cosmetic experience preferred. Competencies include compassion, strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Competitive benefits offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Medical Assistant training is required
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required
- Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Teamwork and professional appearance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic medical records
