Job Summary
Take patient vital signs, verify and input medications into the EMR, and perform EKG, Holter monitor, and Loop recorder hook-ups with required proficiency. Assist physicians with exams, conduct stress tests, and manage pharmacy calls, prescription refills, and expired sample removal. Handle patient and external phone inquiries, process portal messages, pull charts, and coordinate insurance precertification, prior authorization, and scheduling. Move between locations as needed. Requires current Medical Assistant and BCLS certifications, one year of experience, and EKG proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or Texas accredited GED
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Current BCLS certification
- EKG Experience required
- Fluently speaks, reads, and writes English
- May be required to move between locations as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Cardiology practice experience preferred but not required
