Medical Assistant (3072)

Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information in charts. Operate EKG and treadmill equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests while filling out orders and explaining procedures. Administer injections, perform laboratory tests, and set up hospital procedures by faxing forms. Escort patients to check-out, manage voicemails and messages in eCW, and ensure proper paperwork is included in charts. Safeguard patient health information privacy. Prepare travel bags for satellite clinic assignments and acknowledge patient calls. Requires Medical Assistant program completion, cardiac experience, and knowledge of medical terminology. Travel required.
