Job Summary
Conduct patient vital sign collections, verify and input medications into the EMR, and perform EKG, Holter monitor, and stress test procedures with proficiency. Assist physicians with exams, manage pharmacy calls and prescription refills, and handle patient communications via phone and portal. Monitor pharmacy stock for expired samples and support insurance precertification, prior authorization, and scheduling tasks. Maintain current CPR and Medical Assistant certifications. Requires one year of experience, current certification, and BCLS. Located in Memorial City, Houston.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or Texas accredited GED
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, or recent graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program with completion of program externship
- Current Medical Assistant certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire date
- Current BCLS certification
- Must have experience in administration of EKG's
- Fluently speaks, reads, and writes English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to move between locations as needed
