Medical Assistant (2913)

Prepare treatment rooms, interview patients, and measure vital signs including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height while recording data in charts. Drapes patients, positions equipment, cleans and sterilizes instruments, and manages inventory and supply orders. Operate EKGs, treadmills, and other diagnostic tools to administer routine tests or schedule appointments. Administer injections, perform laboratory tests, and prepare patients for treadmill stress tests as required. Screen telephone calls, answer triage inquiries, return calls, and call in prescriptions. Travel required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program and cardiac experience are necessary.
