Job Summary
Medical Assistant Float to join HeartPlace in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. Responsibilities include taking patient vital signs, inputting medications into the EMR, performing EKGs and rhythm strip analysis, assisting physicians with exams, hooking up Holter monitors/event/Loop recorders, performing stress tests as needed, handling prescription refills and pharmacy calls, managing samples, handling patient communications via calls and portal messages, chart pulls, and assisting with insurance precertification, prior authorization, and scheduling as needed. May move between locations as required. Requires high school diploma or Texas GED, 1 year MA experience, current MA certification, BCLS, and EKG experience; cardiology experience preferred but not required. Fluency in English is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or Texas accredited GED
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Current BCLS certification
- EKG Experience required
- Cardiology practice experience preferred but not required
- Fluently speaks, reads, and writes English
