Job Summary
Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical setting providing patient intake, initial triage, and direct patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include delivering patient care, performing routine procedures per established protocols (EKG, immunizations, ear lavage, sterile dressing changes, nebulizer treatments, suture removal, injections), maintaining exam rooms and supply stock, and ensuring safety and infection control while delivering excellent customer service. Requires familiarity with healthcare regulations and ability to greet patients professionally; training advancement possible.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with company policies and healthcare regulations
- Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training and certification preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of business office procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to greet patients and answer phones in a professional manner
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, patients, and to the public
- Utilize time management skills
- Recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
- Maintain productivity and work independently
