Job Summary
Locum anesthesiology physician needed to provide coverage for hospital-based cases (orthopedics, spine, gynecology, urology, gastric bypass; pediatric cases not included). Start ASAP with ongoing shifts including Friday evenings through weekends (example: 5p-7a Friday; 7a-7a Saturday and Sunday). EMR: Epic. Credentialing target within 60 days. Licensure: Nebraska/IMLC. Location: Omaha, NE. AMN Healthcare coordinates malpractice insurance and travel/lodging; typical compensation is highly competitive. Ideal candidates are experienced anesthesiologists able to manage perioperative care across listed specialties and to operate within a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD) or equivalent
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Nebraska medical license or eligibility via Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Locum tenens experience may be required
- Ability to cover complex surgical cases as listed (orthopedics, spine, gynecology, urology, gastric bypass) and perform anesthesia services
- Credentialing within 60 days
- Ability to work the specified schedule and shifts
