Job Summary
Assist patients, staff, and physicians to maintain operational efficiency by providing appointments, information, and clinical nursing support within the established scope of practice. Demonstrate technical expertise in medication verification, infection control, and patient education while documenting care accurately in clinical records. Manage department operations by preparing schedules, monitoring supply levels, processing co-payments, and activating emergency response systems as needed. Maintain environmental safety, complete quality assurance assignments, and participate in clinical projects and training. Float to assist in other departments and sites as directed by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
- Typing proficiently and accurately at a minimum of 30 words per minute with zero to two errors
- Ability to proof work
- Medication administration proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year MA experience in related clinical area
- Experience in customer service, computer skills, and phones in an office setting
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants
- Hospital Corpsman (HM) - US Navy
