Job Summary
Medical Account Specialist II engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across diverse care settings within an assigned geography to deliver clinically focused selling messages, drive revenue, and achieve product goals. Builds relationships with clinicians, nurses, and patient advocacy groups; collaborates with cross-functional teams (Reimbursement and Access, Regional Science Managers) to address customer needs and market dynamics; develops territory/account plans to grow market share; conducts market profiling to understand influencers and payer systems; supports launches and brand initiatives and participates in congresses and regional events. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and extensive Neurology sales experience; field-based in Richmond, VA with on-site collaboration and a strong emphasis on total account management and compliant, integrity-driven performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory
- Minimum 5 years successful experience in Neurology sales and specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred
- Launch experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations with a concentration in Neurology
- Current account management experience in calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks
- Strong account management experience with analytical, problem-solving and planning skills
- Gains deep knowledge of assigned accounts through internal research and proactive information gathering
