Job Summary
Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist engages Neurology experts and key stakeholders across care settings within an assigned geography to deliver clinically focused selling messages, drive revenue, and achieve product goals. Develops and executes territory/account/customer plans, builds relationships with clinicians, nurses, and patient advocacy groups, and collaborates with cross-functional partners (e.g., Reimbursement and Access Specialists, Clinical Nurse Educators) to address customer needs and market dynamics. Conducts market profiling, develops strategies to support brand objectives, participates in congresses and regional meetings, and identifies business opportunities to expand market share and pull-through with accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree mandatory
- Minimum 5 years successful experience in Neurology sales and specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred
- Launch experience, preferred
- Minimum of (2) years of experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations with a concentration in Neurology
- Strong account management experience with analytical, problem-solving and planning skills
- Current account management experience in calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks
- Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and the current Neurology marketplace
