Job Summary
Remote Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist responsible for full range of payor follow-up and collections across 200+ PT clinics, handling billing inquiries, resolving denials/appeals, and ensuring timely payment of open claims in a 40-hour-per-week, Monday–Friday schedule from home. Requires knowledge of medical claims processing, insurance systems, and medical terminology; prior medical receivable collections experience preferred; must reside in AZ, AR, FL, ID, IL, IA, KY, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NM, NC, ND, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX or VA. We operate in a healthcare revenue-cycle environment with emphasis on accuracy and client service; roles include interactions with clinics, patients, and insurance companies to drive resolution and payments.
Required Qualifications
- High School/G.E.D requirement or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years prior medical receivable collections experience preferred
- Understanding of medical claims processing
- Experience with insurance systems
- Knowledge of insurance including State and Federal rules and regulations as they relate to billing and collections
- Ability to understand claim denials/rejections
- Ability to read an Explanation of Benefits
- Knowledge of medical terminology
