Job Summary
Medicaid Team Lead overseeing a 3-4 person Eligibility & Application Support team and Administrative Assistants. Lead hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance reviews; manage client caseload and escalations; ensure timely case submissions and adherence to Medicaid LTC eligibility rules; coordinate with Director and Sr Manager to balance workload; drive data-driven improvements using CRM, Google Docs, and PDF tools; maintain data security and policy updates; promote high-performance, collaborative, and compliant team culture; fully remote within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- English fluency and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role with people management experience
- Experience with managing and training direct reports
- Working knowledge of long term Medicaid, including processing applications and a thorough understanding of Medicaid LTC eligibility rules
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to process and system improvements
- Demonstrated ability to understand financial assets (IRAs, life insurance policies, annuities, trusts)
- Ability to analyze financial data using spreadsheet calculations; high comfort level with math
- Experience with complex problem solving and process improvement techniques
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment; self aware and able to accept constructive feedback
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Responsible self-starter who keeps commitments to deadlines
- History of working successfully with individuals and groups representing a range of cultural backgrounds, orientations, and life experiences
- Experience with file and document management
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
- Proficient with pdf editing software (Adobe Acrobat)
