Job Summary
Bridge skilled nursing and assisted living facilities with Medicaid agencies by conducting eligibility assessments, guiding families through applications, and advocating during appeals. Monitor regulatory trends to optimize reimbursement strategies while maintaining strict compliance with federal and state requirements. Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and finance teams to ensure timely documentation and accurate claim processing. Provide ongoing staff training on eligibility rules and lead internal audits of Medicaid documentation. Maintain accurate records of all applications and communications to support payment audits and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma
- In-depth knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules, regulations, and guidelines
- Previous experience in Medicaid application processing and eligibility determination
- Strong understanding of skilled nursing facilities and long-term care services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must adhere to all HIPAA requirements
