Job Summary
Financial Analyst role focused on Medicaid in Vermont, responsible for compiling, creating, and delivering a range of financial reports on daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual cycles; serves as a primary liaison with the State of Vermont and Green Mountain Care Provider Community; performs Accounts Receivable/Payable functions, processes transactions (payables, receivables, bank stop payments, reissues), and supports HRSA site reviews and 340B data reconciliation for Vermont Medicaid providers. Requires collaborating with state agencies and healthcare providers, performing QA/QC, and delivering accurate financial analyses using Excel and reporting tools. Hybrid work arrangement with initial 100% onsite training for several weeks followed by 2-3 days in-office/WFH; associate-degree or equivalent experience required; salary range $43,800–$62,500 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Strong business, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with financial reporting, supported by strong mathematical and Excel proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to independently QA/QC one’s own work.
