Job Summary

Expedite Medicaid eligibility for HCBS waiver applicants by maintaining daily communication with the Specialized Medicaid Benefits Center and SMBC staff regarding scheduled appointments, verifications, and interview results. Respond to high-volume phone calls and emails from providers, payees, and individuals to resolve eligibility concerns, coordinate required forms for enrollment and renewals, and act as an Authorized Representative to process JFS and ODM notices. Verify eligibility using read-only access to Medicaid Programs (AEFMI and MITS) and analyze data to diagnose billing issues, resolve discrepancies, and perform Medicaid Administrative Claiming activities. Maintain high-volume data in OnBase and Gatekeeper software, reporting demographic changes and county transfers to SMBC/CDJFS. Provide technical assistance regarding Medicaid documents and billing to CMS staff and attend necessary meetings with providers and individuals. Work three days in-office at the Highland Hills Green Road Services Center and two days remotely. Starting salary ranges from $56,385 to $63,000.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Valid state of Ohio driver's license
  • Continued maintenance of excellent driving record
  • Pass a drug test
  • Pass a criminal records check

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years' work experience with CRIS-E system, MITS, and Medicaid eligibility process
  • Two years' work experience with HCBS waiver programs
  • Two years successful work experience with programs for persons with DD
