Job Summary
Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather information for Medicaid and CharityCare eligibility applications. Verify income and resources, obtain necessary documentation, and complete all related forms within strict timeframes. Document case records using automated systems and follow up with applicants to ensure accurate and complete information. Perform additional tasks assigned by the client facility while maintaining high-volume, multitasking efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This role supports hospital clients in navigating governmental and commercial-payment models to optimize revenue and achieve compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Must be ambitious and self-directed in a fast-paced environment and can perform in a high volume, multitasking setting
- Must be trustworthy, professional, detail and goal oriented
- Must have exceptional customer service and excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Must be able to learn and work with Medicaid eligibility regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Charity Care program
- Experience working in a hospital setting
- Ability to speak and read Spanish
