Job Summary
Client Benefits Specialist (Medicaid Benefits Specialist) onsite Mon-Fri in Strafford County, NH. Responsible for supporting individuals who may be eligible for state, federal and local benefits through the Medicaid program, monitoring eligibility status, and performing Medicaid eligibility reviews and updates. Requires knowledge of Medicaid, medical insurance billing, TANF, SSI, Food Stamps/SNAP, and related benefits; strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication; ability to use provided technology; and successful background check. Includes comprehensive benefits package (health/dental/vision, life, long-term disability), 403(b), generous PTO, and supportive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working understanding of Medical insurance billing, Medicaid and Managed Care organization most importantly
- Knowledge of APTD, Medical insurance, Food Stamps, and Cash Assistance; TANF; Social Security; and Supplemental Security Income a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job
