Job Summary
Medicaid and Insurance Billing Specialist responsible for processing insurance and Medicaid claims, verifying coverage, preparing invoices, posting payments, and reconciling accounts. Role includes provider enrollment and credentialing activities, data management, and generating reports. Collaboration with insurance companies, families, and internal departments to resolve billing issues; back-up administrative support for purchasing and mail distribution. Working hours typically 8 am–4:30 pm, with potential occasional schedule adjustments; office-based environment aligned with the Principles of Teaching Family Model.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4-5 years of accounting and medical billing experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Experience in processing Insurance and Medicaid Claims
- Ability to verify coverage and eligibility with Medicaid and private insurers
- Proficiency in billing, invoicing, and posting payments
- Knowledge of provider enrollment and credentialing requirements
- Strong attention to detail and data management skills
- Experience with client billing systems and reporting
