Job Summary
The position of Medic Instructor Operator involves instructing and validating medical training courses for Soldiers at various experience levels. Key responsibilities include managing training courses, ensuring adherence to the accepted medical practices, and utilizing simulation techniques to create realistic training scenarios. Instructors must be able to instruct, demonstrate, and assess medical skills across EMT levels and sustainment courses. Candidates are required to be current EMTs with specific military or medical qualifications and certifications, including NREMT, BLS-HCP, and annual skills validation.
Required Qualifications
- Current National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification at EMT level or higher
- Completion of TC 8-800 skills validation annually
- Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Willingness to travel to various locations for training
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with software languages used in simulation
- Prior experience in course development and education methodology
- Combat experience in medical specialties
