Job Summary
Paramedic position in Mount Carmel East Emergency Department (part-time, rotating weekends/holidays) seeking candidates with Ohio Paramedic Certification, ACLS, and BLS; 2-4 years of patient-care experience preferred. Responsibilities include initiating respiratory interventions, IV/IO access, interpreting rhythms, administering medications per orders, patient transport and monitoring, sterile technique, EKG, phlebotomy, CLIA-waived testing, and participation in trauma/stroke/sepsis resuscitation and triage. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Paramedic Certification in the State of Ohio
- ACLS
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- 2-4 years of patient-care experience or equivalent health-related field
- Ability to perform EKG, phlebotomy, and relevant procedures
- CPR/defibrillation and trauma/stroke/sepsis protocols familiarity
- Licensed/credentialed to practice in Ohio as a paramedic
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work rotating weekends/holidays
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- CLIA-waived testing as assigned
- Suture and sterile technique where applicable
- Foley care and specimen collection as needed
- Physician orders interpretation and adherence to protocols
- Triage participation and emergency response readiness
