Job Summary
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials using effective teaching strategies to support student learning across various levels. Maintain classroom management, address learning and behavior issues, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Evaluate student accomplishments regularly using multiple assessment methods and provide progress reports to parents and staff. Communicate timely with families while protecting student safety and adhering to district policies and health standards. Keep current in subject matter knowledge by attending workshops, seminars, and staff development sessions as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an approved education program in the subject area
- Strong background in North Carolina Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards
- NC Teaching License in appropriate subject area
- Qualifications to obtain a NC teaching License
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds of force
