Job Summary
Maintain and check media studio equipment, troubleshoot technical issues with hardware and software, and answer user inquiries regarding production tools. Provide trainings on media production topics, create video or audio content as assigned, and manage support documentation and signage. Respond to email inquiries and assist with exploring instructional technologies. This 5-10 hour per week role supports the A&S Media Studio, requiring a current UVA undergraduate or graduate student with a willingness to learn in a rigorous environment. Relevant software skills are helpful, though a strong desire to help and work in a production setting is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current undergrad or graduate UVA student
Desired Qualifications
- Video/media production
- Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.) or similar applications
- iMovie, or a similar video editing program
- Familiarity with media formats and standards
- Familiarity with video production best practices
- Relevant software and technical skills
- Willingness to learn

- Willingness to work in a rigorous media production environment
