Media Strategy Director

Job Summary
Directs and guides the media strategy practice for client campaigns, collaborating across media, creative, and marketing science to translate complex objectives into clear, actionable plans. Creates and writes campaign briefs that align goals, media objectives, audience considerations, plan parameters, timelines, and reasons to believe. Builds audience insights and journeys, informs budget recommendations across channels, ensures alignment between strategy and messaging/creative placements, and articulates the overarching plan in client-facing narratives. Partners with Marketing Science to design tests and measurement frameworks, supports reporting and QBRs, and contributes proactive perspectives to keep the team ahead of trends. Requires senior-level strategic thinking, strong writing, client management, cross-team collaboration, and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing strategy, media strategy or creative strategy
- Strong understanding of media, marketing landscape, and AI
- Previous agency experience strongly preferred
- Concise writing skills
- Pleasant client management demeanor
- Ability to simplify and make the complex straightforward
- Ability to lead collaboration across all teams (media + creative + marketing science + SME)
- Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills are required
- New business/pitch experience is a plus
