Job Summary
Broadcasting and journalism instructor leading after-school, project-based sessions for students at partner school sites. Teach storytelling, reporting, video recording and editing, on-camera presence, audio production, and live streaming fundamentals. Guide students in creating media projects (school news segments, interviews, podcasts, or broadcasts), adapt lessons for different ages and skill levels, foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, and track attendance/session completion. Collaborate with site staff and facilitate hands-on, small-to-mid sized groups to develop communication and presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in broadcasting, journalism, media production, or related field
- Experience working with students (teaching, tutoring, camps, etc.)
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Comfortable with basic video/audio tools and technology
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable in a school setting
