Job Summary

The Media Operations Support Analyst provides Level 1 support for NBCUniversal’s Media Operations and Marketing Supply Chain platforms, handling fulfillment, editing, archiving, and asset review across cloud-based and hybrid environments. Responsibilities include ingest management and archival of marketing assets, monitoring pipelines, troubleshooting ingest/transcode/delivery issues, supporting live and linear workflows, onboarding and training users, collaborating with Engineering to escalate issues, coordinating outage communications, and documenting workflows and resolutions. Requires 3+ years in post-production/media operations or a relevant degree, experience with MAM/DAM systems and platforms (e.g., Interplay, DIVA, Orangelogic), knowledge of codecs and file formats, familiarity with live routing/transcodes and tools (Grass Valley iControl, KVMs, DVS Venice, Florical, Telestream products), experience with digital delivery methods (SFTP, Signiant, Aspera), and storage across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS S3, Azure, Isilon, NAS, SAN, LTO). Strong Microsoft Office skills, exceptional organization, proactive work style, and ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Hybrid schedule with four days in the office per week; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement. The role requires the ability to work shifts including overnights, weekends, or swing shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in post-production and/or media operations, or a degree/certification in Media or Communications
  • Experience using Media Asset Management (MAM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and workflows
  • Experience with media management platforms such as Interplay, DIVA, and Orangelogic
  • Strong understanding of video/audio codecs, file formats, camera formats, and resolutions
  • Experience with live records, routing, and transcodes using tools such as Grass Valley iControl, KVMs, DVS Venice, Florical, Telestream products, and both manual and automated ingest platforms
  • Knowledge of digital delivery methods including SFTP, Signiant Manager, Signiant Media Shuttle, and Aspera Console
  • Experience supporting on-prem and cloud-based storage environments, including AWS S3, Microsoft Azure, Azure Blob, Cloudian, Qumulo, Isilon, NAS, SAN, LTO, and archive systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be willing and able to work on any shift including, overnights, swing or weekends in support of the 24/7 operation
