Job Summary
Ad Policy Specialist within Tesco Media Operations focused on developing and maintaining ad policy frameworks aligned with UK regulations (CAP Code, LHF/HFSS). Provides expert guidance on high-risk advertising decisions, partners with Sales, Operations, Product and Legal to ensure policies are understood and applied, creates training materials, reviews campaign risks, monitors regulatory changes, and translates insights into policy updates. Supports innovation in media products with compliant and scalable policy approaches, and champions governance and risk management to protect brand integrity and customer trust.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of UK advertising regulations and digital ad policy (CAP Code, ASA guidelines)
- Experience in digital advertising, retail media, marketplaces, or publisher environments
- Background in policy, governance, risk, compliance, or trust & safety functions
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess complex scenarios
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain policy to varied audiences
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver outcomes in fast-paced environments
- Experience supporting product or engineering teams
- Background in retail media, ecommerce, or marketplace ecosystems
- Experience creating training and enablement materials
