Media Lab Technician

Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory quality system, coordinating activities to meet ISO technical requirements, monitoring system performance, and distributing reports. Liaise with Lab Quality and Technical Specialists to ensure compliance. Duties include maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies, processing samples efficiently, following procedures in work instructions, performing routine tests under supervision, preparing media/solutions, and entering samples/results into the laboratory data management system. Role requires willingness to work weekend rotations, adherence to biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, and ISO 17025 accreditation standards, and maintaining overall lab hygiene. Physical tasks include standing/walking for extended periods, moving over uneven terrain, repetitive bending and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed, PPE usage, and exposure to chemicals, vaccines, and animal-related environments.
