Job Summary
Medevac Captain role responsible for transporting passengers and medical evacuation missions, operating under Transport Canada standards, maintaining instrument flight rules and flight planning, coordinating with medical crews, and ensuring safety and on-time performance across multiple bases in Canada. Requires a Commercial Pilot License with ATPL for Medevac Captains, extensive flight experience (1500 hours total with 500 PIC), Category 1 Medical, Instrument Rating, English fluency, and ability to work flexible schedules with travel as needed. Roles include preflight planning, lifting and securing patients and cargo, flight watch duties, and adherence to Safety Management System and company SOPs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Commercial Pilot License
- Category 1 Medical
- Current Group 1 Instrument Rating
- 1500 Hours Total Flight Time, With 500 PIC
- ATPL for 703/704 Medevac Captains
- Canadian citizenship or ability to work in Canada unrestricted
- fluency in English
- Ability to obtain and maintain transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record check
- Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations
- Valid Passport
- Valid Driver License
