Job Summary

Perform all moderate and highly complex laboratory procedures, including routine and preventive maintenance, instrument assays, and calibration. Execute Quality Control Procedures, evaluate Q.C. data, and participate in CMS Mandated Proficiency Testing. Oversee MLT Student Clinical Rotations and assist in collecting data for the Performance Improvement Plan. Manage department schedules, work assignments, and inventory while evaluating new testing protocols. Assist the supervisor in management functions and serve as a Charge Tech when needed. Maintain competency to perform testing accurately and troubleshoot instrument-related problems. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, two years of clinical laboratory experience, and professional certification (MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), or equivalent).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences from an accredited institution
  • Two Years Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting
  • Professional Certification: MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), or equivalent
