Job Summary
Perform various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank, and bacteriological tests to obtain data for disease evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Maintain licensure under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology. Complete one year of internship or practical experience, demonstrating knowledge in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology. Work weekends and holidays as scheduled while providing good oral and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
- Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology
- One year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled
