Job Summary
Med Tech with certificate for part-time weekend shifts at Grand Oaks Assisted Living. Responsibilities include coordinating ADL assistance and mobility, documenting changes in residents’ condition, administering or assisting with medication administration and MOR documentation, encouraging resident participation in activities, responding to emergencies, assisting with dining room/ activities/ transportation, and communicating with the care team to ensure continuity of care. Requires high school education or GED, CPR/First Aid training, and Alzheimer’s care certifications. Competencies include compassionate elderly care, adherence to safety procedures, confidentiality, and teamwork. Skills emphasized include ADL support, medication handling, resident rights, and ability to follow facility policies and to adapt to a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school education / GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 1 and Level 2 Alzheimer certified
- Abuse, ADL, Adverse and Major Incident Reporting, Behavior and Needs of Resident, DNRO, Elopement, Facility Emergency Procedures, HIV/ AIDS Infection Control
- Universal Precautions, Facility Sanitation Procedures, and Resident Rights Training
- Assistance with Self-Administration of Medications.
