Job Summary
Maintain patient confidentiality and foster a supportive environment by administering medications, assisting with daily living activities like bathing and grooming, and reporting changes in residents' conditions. Collaborate with nursing staff to create individual care plans, accurately document all care and observations, and communicate health updates to families. Respond promptly to emergencies following established protocols while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires a high school diploma, healthcare experience, and the physical ability to lift residents and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care or community based care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
