Job Summary
Administer medications and treatments safely per care plans, assist residents with personal care including bathing and grooming, and support mealtime hydration. Perform vital checks for weight and intake/output, promote mobility through safe transfers, and maintain room cleanliness. Respond promptly to call lights and report resident condition changes to leadership while maintaining confidentiality. Complete required training within 30 days of hire, including four weekday sessions within two weeks. This role supports older adults at Chelsea Retirement Community's Assisted Living and Memory Care units, fostering dignity and comfort within a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Per Diem Team Members are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts per month
- 2 of the 5 shifts must be on a weekend
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in medical assisting or a related field
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care
- Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems
- At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting
