Job Summary
Perform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and capillary puncture, to collect blood samples for laboratory testing. Operate and maintain medical equipment such as electrocardiographs and ventilators, ensuring calibration for accurate results. Prepare and conduct medical tests including laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, and imaging tests while maintaining detailed records of patient data and equipment maintenance. Develop effective working relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and medical staff. Participate in ongoing training to continuously improve knowledge and skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accurately perform and document testing procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Some college or associate's degree in a related field
- Experience in a clinical setting
- Prior experience as a Med Tech
- Prior experience in a related role
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients and medical staff
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other medical staff
