Job Summary
Medication Technician position responsible for accurately administering medications to residents under physician orders, following facility policies and nursing standards. Duties include documenting and reporting medication administration, identifying and addressing medication errors, participating in quality assurance activities, preparing necessary forms and charts, maintaining professional relationships with Health Services staff and physicians, verifying resident identity, and ensuring proper labeling and charting of medications. Requires licensure as a Medication Aide and completion of state-approved training and examinations; high school education or equivalent is required. Works under supervision within Health Services, with emphasis on resident safety and compliance.
