Job Summary
Administer all prescribed medications and treatments per the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR), including counting and signing narcotics, verifying supplies, and managing expired medications. Provide personal care for residents such as bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, and eating, while monitoring vital signs and documenting daily logs. Maintain accurate medical charts for new and readmissions, ensuring records are complete within forty-eight hours, and attend required staff training and in-services.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medication Technician certification depending on state regulations
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Superior time management skills
- Strong team player and a passion for helping seniors
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ months of experience
- Senior Living preferred
