Job Summary
Performs, calculates and reports routine and special laboratory tests; maintains equipment and troubleshoots problems; evaluates results and quality control data; serves as a resource and teaches new employees and students; assists in evaluating new test procedures. Requires knowledge of growth and development principles to assess patient data relative to age-specific needs and provide care per department policies. Evening, full-time MED TECH/LAB SCIENTIST role with emphasis on technical lab skills, maintenance, quality control, and training support. Qualifications include an associate (or equivalent) degree in a related science field with ASCP-MT/MLT or equivalent preferred; strong communication, confidential handling of information, and familiarity with electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program. Bachelors preferred.
- ASCP-MT or MLT or equivalent preferred.
