Job Summary
Carry out ADL services and medication management for residents in accordance with their service plans and physician orders. Document daily tasks, observed condition changes, and reported issues to supervisors while communicating with medical professionals and families. Participate in meal service duties and manage staff under supervision during working hours. Maintain required certifications, comply with local, state, and federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA, and follow safety protocols. Assist with injury investigations and return-to-work processes when required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function
- State Required HHA Certification or CNA License
- Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related field
- ability to read physician orders and match to Medication Administration Records for residents
- understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals
