Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents while coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician. Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries, and maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication records. Provide direct personal care and encourage resident participation in activities, while working with housekeeping and maintenance staff. Maintain a safe environment for all parties and foster teamwork across departments. Full-time PM shift (2pm-10:30pm) Sunday through Wednesday.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
