Job Summary
The Med Tech (CNA) provides medication assistance along with basic care and support services under the direction of licensed nursing staff to meet and exceed the needs and comfort of residents within a memory care or assisted living care setting. Responsibilities include medication assistance, daily resident care (monitoring health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals), documenting observations in electronic systems, communicating with care team and families, and adhering to Company, Federal, State, and local rules, regulations, and policies. Requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA experience, current Washington CNA certification, Nurse Delegation-related certificates, ability to obtain several certifications/cards within specified timeframes, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Salary range: $24.44-$28.89 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Washington State Nursing Assistant certification
- Nurse Delegation Core Certificate
- Nurse Delegation Diabetes Certificate
- Ability to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days of hire
- Ability to obtain a CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to obtain a Mental Health Specialty Certificate within 120 days of hire
- Ability to obtain a Dementia Specialty Certificate within 120 days of hire
- Effective and comprehendible English communication
- Personable and comforting personality
- Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions
- Assist with scheduling and care activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
