Job Summary
The Med Tech / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities, providing personal care, and maintaining a safe environment for residents. The role requires sensitivity to patients’ needs, accurate charting, and a pleasant demeanor. Candidates must be certified as nursing assistants or currently enrolled in a nurse aide training program and are expected to attend training sessions and in-service programs. The position supports patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and includes post-mortem care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified nursing assistant or currently enrolled in a nurse aide training program
- Ability to meet performance requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Capable of charting accurately in the Patient Care Record or other similar form
- Pleasant and cheerful personality
- Tactful and courteous approach with patients and visitors
