Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and ambulation. Conduct room checks, resident rounds, and monitor for environmental safety hazards while utilizing safe transfer techniques. Escort residents for transportation and dining, coordinate internal travel needs, and operate medical equipment and office machines. Wash laundry, perform housekeeping tasks, and maintain professional demeanor during interactions. Report changes in residents' condition, suspected abuse, or emergencies to supervisors immediately. Document services on company forms and follow CDC Standard Precautions and infection control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Certification by state approved program, if required
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred, but not required
